This paper gives a simple and up to date terminology of the shell of Terebratulida and Rhynchonellida (Brachiopoda). A table of the described terms in Catalan, German, English, Spanish and French, is included and a systematic clasification of these Orders using such terminology is given.L'objectiu d'aquest treball és de fer una descripció dels caràcters morfològics, interns i externs, de la closca dels Terebratulida i Rhynchonellida (Brachiopoda), tot donant a conèixer una terminologia -amb els seus equivalents en alemany, anglès, castellà i francès- i una classificació sistemàtica, senzilla i actualitzada, referida als caràcters morfològics descrits
